Nick Kyrgios has laughed at Rina Stubbs’ suggestion that WTA matches saved the day at this year’s French Open. After Iga Swiatek defeated Karolina Mošová 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 in the French Open final, former six-time Grand Slam doubles champion Stubbs qualified.
“Don’t tell me women’s tennis is boring! The semi-finals were better and now this final is great! Yes, the second set from Alcaraz Joker was amazing but the match was blah and it was Rod Zverev’s match BLAHHH. Thank God ladies!” tweeted Stubbs.
Kyrgios responded with a laughing emoji.

Then Stubbs asked Kyrgios: “Tell me where I went wrong, Nick?” Kyrgios again received the same reply.

In the French Open final of Iga Swiatek and Karolina Muchova, coach Patrick Mouratoglou called the 26-year-old Czech “one of the most complete players on the WTA Tour”.
Kyrgios also responded to this with a laughing emoji.

Kyrios gets back to work
Kyrgios, who underwent knee surgery in January, is set to play his first tournament of the 2023 season in Stuttgart.
The grass season is Kyrgios’ favorite part of the year and the Aussie was widely expected to return during the grass season. “For me, the grass season is always the best part of the year. This year has been really tough for me, and I’m obviously recovering from knee surgery.
I will return to the tournament [where] You have performed well in the past and played great matches. The crowd is always very supportive and the atmosphere is really good. “I’m so excited to be here again and play this sport that I’ve worked so hard for,” said Kyrgios. .
