France TV Distribution has landed a slew of deals on its main slate, including Noi Debré’s political satire “Parliament,” which picked up Topic in the US for its second season.

Parliament, produced by the Parisian company Cinétévé, was created by Debré, and Dheepan’s award-winning screenwriters include Jacques Audiard Palme d’Or. Set in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the series follows a young assistant working for a newly elected Member of Parliament, as he juggles his work ethic and love life. The 10-episode series features young actors from all over Europe, including Xavier Lacaille, Liz Kingsman, and Philippe Duquesne. The daring scene was partially filmed on location in French and English.

At the same time, Sky Italia has acquired The King’s Favorite starring Isabelle Adjani, as well as the first and second seasons of the “Criminal Games” detective series.

‘The King’s Favorite’ is a prestige series starring Adjani as Diane de Poitiers, King Henry II’s favourite. Directed by Josée Dayan and produced by Passion Films as a mini-series in two or four episodes, “La Favorite du Roi” was a hit on France 2 when it aired last fall.

Crime Games is a French detective anthology based on the novels by Agatha Christie. Produced by Escazal Films in the 1930s and 1950s, respectively, Seasons 1 and 2 feature different actors and colorful characters solving mysteries.

Other agreements were signed with the Japanese channel AXN Mystery, a theme channel operated by Sony Pictures Entertainment, which acquired the French detective series “Marianne, One of a Kind! and “Captain Marlowe” with guests Adjani, Nicole Garcia, and Gérard Depardieu, as well as “The Wagner Method”.
