Hit in the biceps against Agen, Nick Abendanone unfortunately will not be returning to the field this season. Great loss of manpower in Morbihan.
After his defeat in La Rabine against Agen, RC Vannes recorded the loss of an important player in his workforce, in the person of Nick Abendanon. The Englishman suffered a biceps injury in the 34th minute of play, even if he finished the first half with a bandage on his arm, his back would have had to give way to recovery. At the end of the match, Van coach Jan Noel Spitzer was concerned about the severity of his player’s injury. Brighton FC announced on Monday that the former England international (two selections) will be out until the end of the season after undergoing a successful operation.
The end of Nick Abendannon’s career?
At 36, the former Claremont player can retire. This would be the end of a stellar career for the Bryanston native. Arriving in 2014 at Clermont, Nick Abendanone was named European Player of the Year in 2015. With ASM he achieved the double by winning the top 11 and the European Challenge in 2017. He then joined RC Van in the summer of 2020 before taking part in the Pro D2 semi-finals of the year 2021.
