As at the end of each weekend, Ti Sport offers you a summary of the results of our Breton clubs in National 2. US Saint-Malo notably won the derby against Vannes (2-1) while the ‘En Avant Guingamp B lost on the smallest of gaps against Colombes (0–1).
Saint-Malo stronger than Vannes
This Saturday, US Saint-Malo overcame Vannes (2-1) in a disputed Breton derby which was played at the end of the match. The Morbihannais have yet delivered an encouraging performance without managing to take the advantage. The Black Devils then took advantage of the lack of efficiency of the visitors to unlock the game through Sofian Valla (1-0, 76th) before Guillaume Heinry doubled the lead (2-0, 82nd).
And even if this same Guillaume Heinry scored an own goal in the very last moments of the game (2-1, 90 + 4), the Malouins won the three points. They now point to 4th place in National 2 while the Vannetais are still penultimate with only two small victories after fourteen days.
L’En Avant Guingamp B bow slightly
Faced with Racing Colombes, leaders of the championship, the reserves of En Avant Guingamp bowed on the smallest of scores (1-0) after being dominated for most of the meeting. Technically clean, the Parisians created many opportunities even if the Costa Rican defense showed a rather reassuring face.
On the other side of the field, the Guingampais were very shy and only very rarely managed to put the opposing goalkeeper to work. The defeat therefore seems logical for the new coach Sébastien Bannier and his players. With this setback, the Breton club fell to 8th place before the break.
FC Lorient B confirms its return to form
Still in National 2, but this time in Group D, the FC Lorient reserve easily corrected Andrézieux (3-0). The game settled after the break thanks to a goal from Eli Junior Kroupi following a good collective movement from Les Merlus (1-0, 49th). In the process, Idriss Ech-Chergui received a red card for a language gap against the referee.
In numerical superiority, the Morbihannais accentuated their domination in order to make the break (2-0, 63rd). At the end of the match, Kamal Bafounta went to add his stone to the building to definitively bury all the hopes of the Loire (3-0, 87th). The Lorient residents climb to 5th place in the championship and are only three points behind Saumur, the current third.
