The Brest albatross achieved a third success in a row in Chambery on Saturday (4-1). This victory allows Bretonians to continue their climb up the rankings.
Brest is back on stage! Finally, we want to say, after weeks of doubt on the part of the Finistère club. But there is no euphoria from all this, as the road to the top of the championship and possible qualification to the final stage is still long and full of pitfalls. Let’s remember all this new success on Saturday at the ice rink in Chambéry.
Albatrosses are too strong for Chambery
After a goalless first half, Savoyards opened the scoring (1-0, 21) before a quick reaction from Brestois, with goals from Phil Sauko (1-1, 23) and Jan Close (1-2, 37). And since the beginning of the last period, Dmitry Motrev gave Pavol Mihalik some air (1-3, 41).
The French champion was able to score a fourth goal through Jan Close, who scored twice (1-4, 50). This success allows the Breton team to move into sixth place in D1 with 17 points in 10 matches.
